I live in busan and have checked pusanweb.com but they don't have many listed. If anyone has one for sale or if anyone knows anyone who is selling one, that would be great. Just make sure you have a license to drive a motorcycle here. My friend got in big trouble because he didn't have one.

He was driving his motorcycle when the police stopped him. He was taken to the police station for several hours. I'm not quite sure what could have happened because in his case, he had a friend who knew the police so he was released. What I do know is that he was told that he needed a license for that type of vehicle and that when he tried to get that license, he couldn't because he had some sort of a record from the earlier incident.

Sorry that I can't be more specific....

ehh....I've got a 49cc scoot and I pretty much ride the wheels off the damn thing. I do wish I had another 50cc so no one could catch me. I get burned on all the straight streets by adoshiis carrying packages and shat. So get maybe a 125 and you'll have more than enough power.
Get a license, sure. But still ignore all the traffic laws.
I blew a red light today after making eye contact with the policeman across from me.

Scooter!

Why get some massive, pain in the ass Magma 125cc motorcycle (which is a ridiculous thing- shouldn't even exist in the first place). Plus with a scooter, cops will let you go if you don't have a license- maybe not with a motorcycle.

I've got a 125 cc scooter- I wouldn't want to go any lower than that- I don't see how people ride on the 50ccs- I prefer to keep up with traffic, rather than having people honking at me everywhere I go.

But I kinda want one of those 100cc bikes that all the delivery guys ride- they go pretty quick, and they gotta be pretty cheap.

I'll second that. A good mate of mine has just come out of hospital after a very serious accident. He is now almost to the tune of 10m out of pocket having had some major surgery.

I wouldnt heed seoulman1's advice lightly.

Scooter.

I've had sport bikes (Yamaha R6) and scooters here. Also ridden motorcycles. With all of the low-speed shifting through slow traffic in Seoul, a motorcycle is not very enjoyable. Scooters are the fastest way around town.

The fact that you can only get Comp insurance for motorcycles here is another issue. Insurance companies don't want to deal with them. I hear you have to buy insurance at Post Offices now, or something.

Where can I buy a used scooter in Seoul? I hear Chungmaro sells new ones for about 1.5 million. I am looking for 125cc scooter (100cc is my minimum). What kind of license do I need? Is a standard Korean license ok?

Mmm, just walk down the street. you'll eventually hit a scooter store. Here in Seoul the low-used end is about 400,000.

Up to 50cc scooter doesn't need a license. But its not allowed on highway and top speed is usually 50-55 km/h (electronically limited). Good for around town if you are in some village and shit.
