The U.S. and South Korean flags were taken down in a ceremony at Camp Hialeah in Busan yesterday as the U.S. military base was shut down and the 134-acre (54-hectare) site returned to South Korea.

Roh Under Fire Over Wartime Command Withdrawal
Sixteen former defense ministers and nine retired generals on Thursday expressed dismay at President Roh Moo-hyun�s remarks in an interview Wednesday that suggested Korea can withdraw wartime control of its troops from the U.S. any time.... That's too bad, Camp Hialeah was cool, been there a couple of times during my travels before. They had the best JJa-JJang Myun I ever had eaten on a military installation.
