Totally fake situation:

Let's say you knew somebody from an internet board. Actually, he was sort of your neighbor before, but not a close neighbor. You don't know him well, but you had met the guy before on a few occasions. Now let's say that guy is married, but you know for sure another guy from that internet board was sleeping with the first guy's wife (as in you've actually caught them together once or twice).

Would you say something? If no, would you say something if you knew the guy better?

Or would you just say the heck out of it?

If you knew the guy but he wasn't a close FRIEND (just a past neighbour), then I agree with previous advice.

But if he is a good friend, then doing nothing is not recommended.

I would most certainly tell. If it was happening to you, I'm sure that you'd wanna know.

Forget that MYOB stuff, that's B.S. Buddy needs to know so he can get a divorce.

On top of that, if she's cheating with one guy, she's probably cheating with others...bringing home all sorts of diseases and stuff. Getting infected from your wife? Damn.

Tell him. It's the right thing to do.

I would let her know in no uncertain terms that she would be serving me smoked pig ears and gourmet milk bones (from Bone appetite) wearing nothing but her apron and high heels every other night unless of course, she wanted hubby to know what she's been up to while he's teaching English. I'd be diplomatic about it of course...

Some call it "blackdogmail", I prefer the more subtle term "window of opportunity" Smile

You know I read somewhere that 8 of every 10 women that cheat on their husbands are cheating with just ONE person. On the flip side 6 of 10 men who cheat on their spouses cheat with more than one person.

It has nothing to do with the original post, but I wanted to add my two cents. I wish I can find that article....

I agree. Better to be safe than sorry for all involved. If there were any diseases to be gotten, most parties would probably have them by now, but future partners still need to be protected.

Actually, this happened to me with more of a friend, but not a close friend.

What did I do? I said something. It was making me angry, so I just had to. I was promptly ignored and the person didn't mention anything about it in the future. Just brushed it under the rug.

Then, 5 months later, I got a call after the person figured it out, "Hey, do you remember when you said...."

I said, "YES! That's what I was trying to tell you!"

I've had this problem a few times in my life, but usually with closer friends.

I've never said anything to the friends, but have each time told their cheating spouses that if I ever caught them again I would and then let them know what I thought of them.

I don't condone cheating, I think people that do it are filth, but I don't live other peoples lives. What annoys me is how stupid and indiscreet people can be, and its a really shitty situation to put me in when I know both parties.

When you have first-hand knowledge that could save someone's life, of course you tell them.
