My wife and I are thinking of going to Japan for a holiday. We have a friends who have an extra apartment so we can stay there for our stay. We are probably going to around the end of November.
Any thoughts? I have heard this is good surfing on the southern part of this island. Any truth to this rumor?
How about flying back to Canada? Flights from Fukuoka seem to be pretty pricey. It seems like flying back to Seoul and then to Vancouver might be cheaper. |

There is no good surf near Fukuoka...
However, about 5 or 6 hours south on Kyushu there is a good swell off Mayazaki for beginners and for the more advanced a break called Hungree is near kagoshima
However the best spot in Japan is Chiba near Tokyo and the hold the rounds of the World Surfing Tour for japan here.... |
