I am planning a 2-year trip around the world. I have to admit that Korea is not one of the countries that I was dreaming of going to...but it came up in my searches for jobs for travellers. I have since researched the board quite a bit gathering information. I would like to stop in Korea and work for a bit teaching english to finance the rest of my travels. I do not plan on staying for a long time..maybe a few months or so at most. It seems as if most people on this board have made a career out of teaching in Korea and have been abroad for years. Is it possible for me to get a job for only a couple months? Or are these positions hard to come by? Are free apartments only offered to those with one-year contracts? Is it horrible of me to sign a one-year contract and then leave early? Or is this pretty common? How do I know where do find a good school?

Do a summer or winter camp.

Or ask for a six-month contract.

If your school is cheating you, then no it isn't horrible. If the school is good and you ditch them, then yes, you are horrible. Please don't be horrible.
