I'm such an idiot. I planned a picnic with some friends for tomorrow, since they're not working. Ideal, right? Well, I didn't buy all the supplies I needed. In fact, all I bought was an ice-crusher, a cooler, some ice packs, tequila, triple sec, and nectarines to make sure we could have nectarine margueritas. Unfortunately, I couldn't carry any more, so I didn't go shopping for things like FOOD.

I'd like to be able to get a loaf of brown bread, some fresh veggies, some meat, a metal outdoor grill, etc. I'm not a brilliant planner, and it seems I've shot myself in the foot here.

Before I despair, however, can anyone offer a little hope? Do you know if *everything's* closed tomorrow? While you're thinking about that, I just realized I'm going to race down to the grocery and try to get there while it's still open. Thanks!

Virtually all retail stuff will be open tomorrow. You'll have no trouble food shopping.

Only schools and offices close on public holidays.

Right on! Thanks for the tip!

I did dash down to the grocery store and bought another armload of groceries and assorted accoutrements. Well, I guess that's something I don't have to do tomorrow.

Enjoy your holiday, everybody!
