ok.. i feel totally pathetic writing this, but anyway.. i'm new in seoul and i work in a pretty small hagwon; all the foreigners i bump into out and about seem to be about 10 years older than me and probably not the going-out type. so, what i want to know is, where's the party at? i'm an ordinary 21 year old guy who isn't a freak, and i just want to meet some laid-back people near to my own age who like drinking and going
out. |

You can find any amount of foreigners in their 20s in Itaewon and Hongdae (Hongik university). |

Hey, don't insult the older people. I am 32 and still go to nightclubs in Kangnam, but I probably feel like going home at 3. I think most people here are boozers. Where do you live? Do you want to go where the foreigners go or where the Koreans go? |

sorry for the age prejudice, kangnamdragon. i take back what i implied about thirtysomethings!
anyway yeah i don't have a preference re. waygooks or koreans (i'm british myself) but i have to say i'm not too crazy about itaewon. i've heard good things about hongdae though and i'd be up for going there. |

I've only just got here, as well. I would go drinking with you, but I'm afraid I don't know my way around here yet. |

We should all get together and get drunk. I haven't met as many westerners ad I'd like to since I'm the only one at my school. |

Itaewon is a great place to start off on a saturday afternoon, early evening then head out to hongdae/ wherever. Theres heaps of "young boozers" there every weekend. Don't let what's written on this board put you off. Explore places for yourself. |
