Where can I get a listing of dates, time, venues and how to get there.
I want to go to a show this weekend.
Skunk Hell is all I have heard a little about.
Thanks.

You should have counted in hours.

I_Am_Wrong did my job for me. All that's left to do is plug my Korean punk photo page, http://www.daehanmindecline.com

Hey racetraitor, congratulations for hanging out with some major a-holes! (meaning a select few people in your pictures who accused of trying to pick up their drunk korean "friend." When, in fact, the drunk Korean "friend" kept talking to me and I was simply being nice and not hitting on her at all. However, that didn't matter when the people in your pictures decided to attack me from behind....rad.)

A note about skunk hell...it's lame. There are some really nice Korean people there and a couple decent korean bands. There are some nice foreigners and a swath of pricks.

Do you think you could explain your story in a bit more detail, and link pictures of the people involved? For instance, if they're the foreigners or the Koreans?

It was at the big huge show that Limited Express was also at. In your pictures there is a Korean girl in a blue dress/ jean combo thing. She was chatting me up before the show and she was nice enough so whatever. After the show, I was talking with some buddies and I hear someone call my name. I look over my shoulder and she's waving at me to come over and chat, so I do.

She's hanging out with these two other foreigners (strung out t-shirt and big fat guy....sorry big fat guy but that's the only way I remember you). So whatever...she's rambling on to me and asking for my myspace and I'm just being nice. I have a girl and I wasn't doing anything at all...just talking. The two other guys were giving me the evil eye and strung out t-shirt kept trying to pull her away, telling her about the special drink he wanted her to try. So finally Strung Out t-shirt guy manages to fangdangle her away back into Skunk and I was like...whatever.

Right as I'm about to go back to my buddies, big fat guy starts accusing me of hitting on his drunk friend. He gives me this whole line of "I know what you're trying to do. She's my friend and she's drunk so don't hit on her. I know you're trying to pick her up and I'm not gonna let it happen etc. blah blah blah" So I was just like, "seriously? I'm not trying to pick her up, I'm not even interested in her...I just want to be her friend man" And he goes back into his speach and says, "you're not her f-ing friend, I'm her friend I've known her for longer than you blah blah blah." And I'm like, "buddy, she called me over hear from over there because she wanted to talk to me so I don't know what your problem is but you need to relax." Big fat guy replies, "no you need to relax...don't hit on my f-ing friend."
By this time I had had enough and wanted to go drink another beer with my homies so I said "that's fine man but don't talk to me" and I walked away.

As I'm walking away Big Fat Guy charges me from behind with zero warning. I go flying, turn around and say, "my beer's been spilt!." He comes up to me with evil hate eyes and fists ready to go and I was just like....what the hell is this guy doing...?j Then Big Fat White Guy #2 runs over like he wants to kick some ass two..."what's going on here? what'd this guy do? Let's get him etc." I'm just standing there and my friend comes over and starts yelling at Big Fat Guy #1, calling him a cheap piece of shit motherfucking *beep*...why doesn't he try pushing someone from the front instead of the motherfucking back *beep* blah blah blah. So then they backed off for a second...eyeing us from a few meters back and my friends and I laughed and went to Izakaya.

I shouldn't dog Skunk Hell...I'm just a cynical bastard sometimes. It's a good place to see shows and I've met a lot of really cool, really great people there. However, there is a segment of people who go there only to tap into the aggressive side of the music (as is the case in any punk scene).

The guy in the Strung Out shirt is a very good guy who I've never known to do anything bad. The big fat guy is one of two guys--one is Filipino I think and the other is white and has a goatee. One of them has been having a lot of problems lately with getting into fights.

I'm hopelessly behind on my scene drama gossip, and like it that way, but I'll mention it to the Strung Out guy sometime. It sounds lousy what happened and shouldn't be happening, especially considering how everyone's always talking about how there should be zero tolerance for violence there.
