Does anyone here know where I can take a Jazz or Modern class in Seoul?
I'm an advanced dancer, but had to stop for the past 3 years due to a knee injury, so I know I'm not NEAR what I used to be. I would like to be able to slowly work my way back into things, and take a class or two.
So I'd be looking for a place that offers adult classes, beginner through advanced.
Any info would be great
Thanks! |

I know a Tango teacher in Yeoksam-dong. Also, he speaks English.
I don't know if its what you want but, if it is, just yell out and I will PM his mobile number.
Cheers. |

| Hmm.. I've never taken tango before. Do you need a partner to take the class? |

Dance studios abound in Seoul. First, decide what you'd like to learn and then find a place near you. I figure that dance isn't too reliant on language so even if the instructor speaks no English, I'm pretty sure it'll be no problem.
Ballroom dance is pretty popular but you can easily find jazz or modern studios around Seoul. Tell me where you live around and I can search for you.
Also be aware that many gyms or fitness centers offer dance classes, but that an extra charge is usually involved. |

I'm in the Jamsil area, but am willing to travel a reasonable distance to find something.
I'm mostly looking for a jazz or modern class (not necessarily competition style jazz, but anything would do at this point).
I'm open to trying new things though, so any suggestions are welcome. I have been trained in Jazz, Modern, and Ballet, but I know for sure I'm not really interested in a Ballet class anymore. |

EZ Dance has a place at Dong Seoul Bus Terminal. Get off Gangbyeon subway station at exit #4. The studio is on the third floor of the building.
If you're willing to travel a little bit, there is a studio near Gangnam station. Get off exit seven and go straight until you see Citibank. Make a right into the alley and keep going up until you see the studio.
Also try Warner Dance in Jamsil at 02-456-5977 or 011-974-7580.
Then there is EX Jazz Dance Center. Get off Hanti subway station exit #1 then go straight until you see Industrial Bank of Korea. Turn right and go about a block until you see the studio. |

great info. I was looking at taking a dance class with my partner. Does anyone know if they still offer salsa or swing in itaewon?
Also do any of these jazz studios have english instructors? It's been a while for me too. |

Learning dance is like learning taekwondo or martial arts. Body language is enough.
Salsa and swing institutes are all over Seoul. |
