| It says this happened pre-Korean War. Considering that both countries at that time were staging armed raids into the other one, I see nothing too surprising about this mass execution. |

My gf's grandfather was rounded up by the Norks and marched into a mountain with a group of other SKs to be executed. He escaped and hid. He heard the rest of his compatriots being shot.
Remember how the president at the time Rhee told everyone in Seoul not to flee south because Seoul was well protected? And then he immediately packed up the family jewels and retreated south, on roads clear of refugees... He lied so he could make good his escape and didn't get slowed down by Seoul refugees.
It's so typical of Korean politics. Sell out Korea for a few shiny beads or save your hide... |

| A hundred executions happen every day in China, these days! many of them "political" in nature. |

Yup, and those are just the ones we hear about. Hu Jintao is no better than Bush and maybe even worse (if such a thing is possible). He used to oversee the CPC's Tibetan 'occupation'. Nice, huh? |

seriously? wow. That sounds like practically the same story as that subway driver who locked the car doors in the Daegu subway fire so he could get out without having to fight the crowds... |

Didn't they lock the doors because they thought the fire was on the outside of the train?
I heard the atomic bomb was dropped because of a drunken wager between Truman and Lemay. |

Maybe, but a lot of these executions were on drug dealers and murderers. China is not the closed country you think it is. |

I've tried and I've never had a problem finding those. Go to a university dormitory and you will find that nearly every male students there has a computer hooked up to the net with masses of porn, pirated software and stuff on 9/11 conspiracy.
But yeah some sites do get blocked, but hey we're talking about a billion people nation where one slight ripple of hysteria from one side of the country will cause a massive tsunami at the other. I do believe that things need to be kept under control to preserve the peace and prosperity of the country. Bringing up religious issues or talking about the past isn't going to help that. |

you've never had a problem finding those in china? i'm sure you haven't had a problem finding anything in a country outside of china, but i find it hard to believe you haven't had a problem finding them in china. |
