Anyone know any good places to stay in Tokyo? My school have sent me there for my visa run (the stupid fucks). Theyve left me to sort out everything else and Im not so sure where to start. I need cheapest possible.

All ideas considered.

Do you have to go to Tokyo?? Osaka is a better choice for a visa run and they are "more used to us".

If you have to go to Tokyo:
The consulate (not the embassy) is about 2-3 hours from the airport.
Accomodation is EXPENSIVE.
There is some stuff in the sticky...

www.presso-inn.com

a block or two away from the Ginza. I paid about $70 for a single there a few years back.

Korean Consulate (seperate from the embassy) is only open for visas in the mornings

Yes well I would LOVE to be going to the other places. But the stupid *beep* assistant to the boss decided to book it to Tokyo without realising it takes 2 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!! FOR A VISA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now Im stuck with this shitty situation which theyre trying to change but probably wont be able to cos of what this dumb *beep* has done. Meanwhile all of this shit comes out of my own pocket. Yes thats right. I have to pay for this stupid FUCKS mistake.

Anyway, cheers for the help. Much needed by the way Very Happy

Chest you grumpy old man. Tokyo is a great place, you ahould be happy you have two days there. Book two nights at the 'Asia Center of Japan' hotel/motel. Its cheap and you can go out to roppongi and its just a cheap taxi ride back.

Pixies, easy.

Step up your game Chest.

I'm sure a dashing bloke like you will not need your hand in Tokyo.

Wu-Tang, easy.

And yes I will need my hand in Tokyo. How will I wipe my bum and do all those other crucial things without it?

"AIDS. HIV"

Who sung that?
