the 60,000 for my 90 minute morning job teaching high school grads that are traveling to USA...I traveled the 40 minutes to work (both ways) in the morning and right when I get to the top of the stairs, the boss says hey, immigration just got here 3 minutes ago, go run and stay at the subway and I'll call you after an hour, just wait down there. So I go and wait, and an hour and a half passes by, and no call...so I leave and message the boss later, he gets back to me at around 7pm...so my question is this...when payday comes around, should I expect pay to be included for this day of traveling and waiting in the subway?

Mess with the bull, you get the horns! Count yourself lucky for not getting fined or deported, nevermind the 60,000! Surprised

What's your boss say? If he doesn't want to pay you anything at all, what are you going to do about it? Take him to the Labor Board? Laughing Laughing

Get paid.

I wold be paid if he was still being paid by the students. If it was a daily thing and he wasn't paid... maybe not.

I'm usually pretty sympathetic about cancelations... but not when I've already travelled.

Obviously this job is illegal. So then instead of thinking how lucky you are for getting off, you come to Dave's and post "I teach illegally!!!!!!!! Look at me. Immigration catch me if you can"

I hope you use a PC room.
