im a huge fan of the transformers. are you looking forward to the live action movie by the way?

I have over 30 pieces in my collection now (not to brag, just ellucidating) love em to bits.

regarding your question i found the decepticons to be far superior to the autobots. especially the combiners. like the stunuticons, constructicons and predakons were always superior to the arialbots for eg. also the decepticons can fly...

i love the headmasters and target masters especially

Hopefully. That trailer sucked massively, though.

did you hear that the guy tht originally did optimus prime's voice will be doing it fo the movie.

i thought devestator was the best of all the combiners certainly the most powerful. there were rumours that takara were going to reissue it but they opted for the predaking reissue instead.
one of the few original decepticons that made it past the 'great war' and the movie onto the next series.

Yeah! Even if it sucks, it's gotta be good. I heard Spielberg's producing it and that's not a bad thing.

Yeah! Predacons and Aerialbots totally ruled! I always thought Stunticons and Constructicons were a bit too put-together, like they didn't fit well or something...

I hope the movies cool.

It's being produced by Steven Speilberg, that's good

It's being directed by Michael Bay who did movies like Bad Boys and The Island. He's not a great director, but Transformers doesn't need a great director. We shouldn't let our sad 80s nostalgia fool us into thinking that Transformers 'deep.' It was fun and I think Michael Bay makes fun movies.

The scripts is being written by the guys who did The Island and MI3, which I think is OK. But they also give credit to the guy did Catwoman and The Core. wtf?

Why all the interest in a movie made for pre-teens?

You're only fooling yourself if you don't think they're out to target the now-late 20s/early 30 year olds who grew up on it as well.

It's not going to be G rated, that's for damn sure.

Hmmmm. Why all the interest in people who are long gone from this board?

As far as the movie though, probably because we grew up on the show. Its like Batman or Superman and thats how it will be made, with an adult theme, not a g rated crapfest. Im looking forward to seing how they bring those huge robots from animation to real life. And I wanna see them transform, hear Optimus Prime's voice, etc. My favorite show as a kid, you bet Im gonna go see this movie.

The film may turn out to suck; that is something that I can deal with, to a certain point. I suppose the question, for me, is with regard to how much it may blow. To reiterate:

Acceptable Corollary
'That kinda sucked some donkey nuts, but Megatron and his big canon left a wet spot on my pants. It'll be nice to watch it again on video.'

Insouciant Corollary
'Yeah, whatever. It was Transformers, so I don't much regret the price of admission. I regret the sixty-three dollars spent on popcorn, but an apoocalyptic tank floater will even the score.'

Catastrophic Corollary
'Wow, that film made the original movie look good. I think I'll go watch that again.'
