Can't help with the binding, but congratulations on getting your thesis accepted. It's nice to have it done.

I do binding, and could do a good job for you, though maybe more artisanal and expensive than you might be looking for, but unfortunately all my equipment is on another contenent so I can't help you. Congrats though!

My Japanese friend just had her PhD dissertation bound by the university printers in Australia.

She told me 1 copy cost her over $200 Aus.

Can you guys get that done for less at LuLu or other places?

Here's one that specializes in binding for theses:

http://www.jw1987.com/

Thesis/treatise binding is 논문제본:

Yikes! Unless you're getting gold gilding and diamond lettering, that's far too much.

My degree required me to get two bound copies - 8.5x11, hard cover, single-sided, double-spaced - at a local binder. Each copy was just under $40 CAD and included the fancy crest and lettering as required by my university. They're beautiful copies, but I didn't want single-sided and double-spaced copies for my personal library.

I took my thesis, made an electronic copy - 6x9, hardcover, double-sided, single-spaced - and sent it to lulu.com. They charged me $30 USD including shipping for one copy.

If you want copies just for yourself, go with lulu.com. If you need copies done as per the requirements of your university, ask your university where they'd recommend you get your thesis bound. They must have some suggestions. But $200 AU is highway robbery.
