Ok I am just about to book one of the above courses and really the only think left to decide is where do I want to go to do it?
I can do the course at the University of Glasgow but that seems a bit boring (I live near Glasgow) and it's significantly more expensive when you include course fees (1000), travelling would still be around 110 for the 4 weeks, and factor in all the other expenses I would incur at Britain's wonderfully expensive rates. Obviously the plus side is no additional expense on accommodation and the bonus of being able to sleep in my own bed every night.
The laternative is to study for the 4 weeks abroad. Course fees are cheaper at around 700, however there are obviously other expenses such as accommodation, etc. Factoring all these in I think it would work out rouhgly the same, but I would get the chance to be away for a month. Any thoughts on this, and finally WHERE?
Eastern Europe seems the most obvious choice given cheap flights are available, much better weather than Scotland, lower cost of living and higher likelyhood of meeting non Scottish/British students as would probably be the case at Glasgow.
Looking at the main Eastern European cities such as Prague, Budapest, Krakow, Ljubljana. I have been to Prague and Krakow and enjoyed both, however no doubt it's a bit different being a tourist to actually being there for a month.
Any thoughts on any of the above, locations, and even if anyone has completed similar courses in these locations would be great.
Sorry for the VERY longwinded post, and I posted in this forum as I plan to move to Korea once I have completed the course, and this is where I have been posting up until now.
Thanks |

I did my Trinity Cert. TESOL in Prague. I had an absolute ball, loved every second, and it did work out cheaper than doing it in the UK.
Any questions, just PM me. |
