I hate it when people misuse the term "literally."

It's supposed to mean "actually" or "truly" but people keep using it to emphasize something figurative, which makes them sound INSANE.

For example, this morning, some girl on TV was expressing her trepidation about a difficult choice, and remarked "I'm literally playing with fire!" However, no flames could be seen dancing about her palms. What gives?
