Hi,
Ive read some threads about kids college franchise, and most of them are negative, but also from years and years ago.
Any recent teachers from there? How is the school? If we pull out of our signed contract before we leave for korea, will they blacklist us?
Thanks for any and all information on this school, |

I worked at a Kid's College in Seoul. Everyone was getting fired for things like "not enough decorations" on the classroom walls. We also worked on Saturdays and were not paid overtime. The work load was intense. Most teachers came to work early and left late and worked every Saturday to keep up. A good friend of mine, also holding a MA degree, was fired from Kid's College in Apujeong, again, for "not enough decorations" and they told her that she was a terrible teacher. She was also fired in her 11th month working at this school... From what I hear, this happens often in Korea, because the director doesn't want to pay severance and airfare home. I hope this helps. Who knows, maybe there are some Kid's College chains that are okay. I haven't heard of any, but I'm sure there is one or two out there... |

The Kids College chain has a very bad reputation for treating teachers like crap. Just read the blacklists.
I'd stay away. |

Stay away from the Songpa branch. An absolute nuthouse. I heard that the Yangjae branch is ok but nothing to write home about.
There are far better options than Kid's College for any teacher with at least half a brain.
Take care, |
