i have a bunch of avi and bin files so what program do i use to change them so i can use them on my dvd player? is it even possible?

depending on your DVD player they might play as is, my player will play anything I put in it.

However if you need to convert AVI files then you need to get a program called convertx to dvd - I've used this to convert some tv shows to dvd and it even has the option to add a simple menu.

for your .bin files you should download a vitual DVD drive, such as daemon tools, and then mount the bin file to find out what format the files are actually in. if you want you can then watch them on your computer or just copy over the individual files to your harddrive for conversion/burning.
