What's the deal with these things. Every time I come home from work, there's a whole new batch. Do any of you actually order food from any of them? Do any of the Koreans? I have a mailbox...why not use it?

No, of course nobody ever uses them. That's why the business owners go to all the trouble of getting them made and running around sticking them on everyone's door. 'Cause it's fun like that. Rolling Eyes

In this country restaurants are so cheap that there's almost no point in cooking for yourself anymore (unless you have a spouce). I bet you they get a lot of business this way.

Yes, advertising. What a brilliant idea.

It's strange that we don't have any sort of advertising mail sent to our homes in western countries.

my refridgerator is covered with the ones made of magnetic material or that have a magnet glued to the back of the menu - damn good idea in my view.

I ran out of room on my fridge. Now I just collect them in bags.

Yep. I've gotten to the point now that I order my food almost every single day, since I have a pretty good collection going.

At my apartment last year, though, I got tons of store ads (no restaurant adds at all except pizza), which really bugged the hell out of me. So I posted a sign that said if anyone posts an ad, I'd boycott their store. Yeah.. that didn't work at all. But.. then I'd just start leaving them on the door, and they'd mysteriously disappear. I think the landlady was clearing them for me. Very Happy

Flyers are a part of life, here or north america. The only thing that pisses me off are the guys who jack hammer on my doorbell under the impression I've been waiting all day to learn about a new boo deh chi jae restaurant in my building.

That was always my strategy. I don't think it was the landlady, though, as they'd never disappear until they were replaced by a new one. One of the nice things about living on the top floor of my school in a building with no other apartments this year is that I don't get those ads...
