Where can i find cheap flights to Brisbane, Australia? Everything i find is in the region of 1.1million was told it might be possible to find them at half that. Looking at going in the new year, so any tips etc.. will be greatly welcomed, plus i will return with Salt & Vinegar Pringles (see other posting!)

you could try Kangsan Travel or Why Pay More.
www.kangsantravel.com
www.whypaymore.co.kr - In Korean, but I think if you call them they have English speakers there.

You won't find anything much cheaper than 1 million to Brisbane incl. taxes, especially during the new year high season(it is summer vacation in Australia)
I just went with Singapore for 1.1 million which i think was a good price.... |

you just went to singapore for 1.1 million???? OUCH!
... i don't know how many direct flights you'll find to brisbane. the cheapest way is to go via sydney and then connect to brisbane. you'll find more flights that way which is good to keep prices down.
in peak season, yeah, a million won is pretty close. off peak you can do it for 700,000 won. |

He read it the same way I did...thought you went to Singapore, instead of THROUGH it to Brisbane. Makes more sense the 2nd time around... |

plus 200 or 250k in taxes.
i got a thai ticket back in february to melbourne (but it was the same price to any city in oz) for around 900,000 including taxes and it allowed stops in bangkok in both directions.
you won't get it much cheaper than that.
check places like xanadu etc they can often sell you a ticket more in advance than the usual last minute crap.
i picked up that baby about 3 months in advance which is like finding a piece of gold in a turd in korea these days. |

http://www.jetstar.com has tons of cheap flights from Southeast Asia (and as high north as Osaka) going to Brisbane, Australia (among other cities in Australia and even New Zealand).
Its a discount airline company. Nothing originating in Korea. But if you wanted a cheap way to get home with a little vacation thrown in, its a good way to do it. |

With the time he's looking at going I don't think Jetstar will be any cheaper.
Even the cheapest tix I saw online for January from Thailand (if you can even find any available seats) on their website come in at around 500 bucks. Flying via Melbourne! Plus factor in the cost of the ticket at that time to get from here to Bangkok and it's not such a good deal. Better to fly Thai, MAS or whatever, do it in style and get the stopovers anyhow for around the same price. |

I booked and purchased a return ticket to Brisbane 2 days ago flying out this Saturday (last minute booking).
I rang 3 travel agents and Unique Travel came up with the best price and flight schedule.
Incheon>>Narita(1 hour stopover)>>Brisbane
Reverse on the way back.
The return ticket price was 600,000 without tax and about 865,000 tax included.
I'm flying with JAL. |
