Hello all,

I am in Korea in the 11th month of my contract. I am waiting for my won-jang-nim to buy my a ticket out of here. But I will be coming back in Janaury. I am considering asking him to give me the cash he would pay for a one way flight and then I would buy a return ticket.

This would allow all the benefits of being in Korea while deciding where to work. I am looking for a public school job. When is the best time to land in Korea with regards to securing a public school job? I have heard Janaury and September. Is this true?

For the best public school jobs with the best conditions: start looking in November/December. I started looking in December of last year and had most of my interviews from Dec.15-20th. If you don't care and will take any public school then, really, you could get on at pretty much anytime.
