I just got back from a trip to Osaka where I was informed that a new policy enacted this year extends the waiting time to pick up your E2 visa. So, for instance, if you drop off your paperwork on a Thursday, you will have to wait until Friday to get the visa, usually available that afternoon. Let your bosses know so they don't do what mine did - send me for the day. Goodluck!

That has been the policy since August 2005.
It's been mentioned time and again ever since then.
Didn't read the sticky's about visa runs huh? |
