One of my girl friends and I are heading out this weekend for some drinking and good times. Anyone have a suggestion for a place to go to meet other foreigners, be they teachers, GIs or whatever?
Thanks! |

Itaewon is a good place to start. Gecko's is ok. 3 Alley Pub, Seoul Pub. Gecko's Garden.
Hongdae is nice too.
There are no shortage of foreigner-frequented bars around Seoul.
Have fun, |

There's a new place in Itaewon opening up this weekend. Grand opening is on Saturday. It's called B1. I checked it out while it was under renovation, and the place is awesome.
It's the old J Bar, but it's been gutted, and rehabbed. You won't even recognize the joint. From what the owners tell me, it's going to be a bit more of an upscale joint, so don't expect 2,000 draft beers and cheap shooters.
For those of you who don't know, it's on the side street that runs next to the Hamilton Hotel KFC. |
