I was just recently offered a position in Cheonan. They had told me it was a new school that are currently looking for new teachers and already has a korea teacher, and a part-time American teacher.
Does anyone know the deal with new schools? I have constantly been talking with the recruiters (who are in British Columbia) on MSN messenger and via email. They have sent me a copy of a contract w/ the salary, severence, and other areas blank.
Any heads-up or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
The last time I was in Korea was in 2003, as a language ambassador for SCH University, which was great! |

E. Bo Young is a brand new franchise chain with a brand new system and have just started hiring foreigners. In short, anywhere you will end up working at will be a brand new school with little management or curriculum experience, let alone the know-how in dealing with cultural sensitivities.

I agree with Jazblanc..
If this is a new school for a fairly new franchise, you should expect many communication problems and a thin curriculum. This means headaches for you on a daily basis (making your own curriculm, everything is in Korean).
Good luck.. |
