I hired 현대 이사몰 and was impressed with their work. Three young guys with lots of muscles showed up 10 minutes early, worked quietly and efficiently for 2 hours, packing and loading my stuff. They had big yellow plastic baskets. The only thing they couldn't do themselves was disconnect the stove. The gas man had to come for that. Otherwise, they took my air con down off the wall, cleaned and scrubbed my refrigerator, dusted shelves as they went. They were not able to re-install the air con, but everything else was put back in place.

They even cleaned the floor when they were done bringing everything in to the new apartment.

I thought they were professional, thorough and friendly. I have not found a single thing broken. Not even my 30 year-old peguins-doing-the-nasty-in-very interesting-positions coffee mug suffered a scratch. Nary a one.

Since my stuff filled a 5 ton truck and my new place is 3 hours cross-country from the old one, the price is high, but worth every won. I paid W900,000 (and gave them an extra W50,000 for dinner and soju).

If you find yourself in need of professional movers, I don't think you can do better.

Here is their national number (the office will connect you to your local branch: 1566-0072
(web site: www.h24mall.co.kr)

PS: Their trucks are easy to follow in traffic--they're big black things with a big yellow, red and gray bar across the back.

Edit: I guess I should mention 3 things:
1. They worked from 7am to 3 pm.
2. My friend says certain days are 'lucky' for moving. If you choose to move on those days, you will pay a higher price.
3. Mr. 임 from upstairs says that if it rains on your moving day, you will get rich. It poured here late this afternoon. Very Happy I'm counting on this prediction coming true!
