I was in the store last night and came across Blueberry Drinking Vinegar and Raspberry Drinking Vinegar. Both large and small bottles.

Does anyone know if people really drink it? And if so, why? Or are they for salads? (I can see using the raspberry on a salad, but can't really imagine putting blueberry on anything. Blueberries belong in muffins and that kind of thing.)

How exactly its healthy I don't know. The acidity is good for you?

Anyhoo....I see persimmon vinegar a lot here.

I drink it and it kicks ass... IF you get the right brand.

The right brand:

Example of the wrong brand:

The good stuff is called 청정원. It costs around 7,000 won for a slender bottle, but it lasts awhile. What you do is mix just a little bit of it with water. How is it good for you? I have no clue. I don't trust Koreans when they say some food or drink is good for you. I just drink it because it tastes good and provides variety in my beverage choices at home.

Fun fact: blends well with vodka.

I remember back home the bottles of cider vinegar we used to buy had directions for people who wanted to drink it.

I tried and tried to find a pic of a bottle of Majuang white wine to post as an example of "the wrong brand" (of drinking vinegar Razz )... Couldn't find one. There, you see, the stuff is so awful, it's been banned from Google!

My Gran used to make raspberry vinegar as a cordial drink (one that you mix with water). Its supposed to be a 'summer refresher'. I always thought it was pretty rank though .
