I just had a question. What needs to be done if a teacher is bringing a child with her? What is the process for a visa for a child?

F3 - dependant visa.

You will need the childs birth certificate - to verify parentage
You will need the childs passport
You will need a filled in application for the child and the visa

Depending on where you are coming FROM you may need additional documents to get OUT of your country such as:
Custody papers for the child or NOTARIZED parental permission from the absent parent.

I can't be more specific without additional information.

The boy is 8 months old, from USA. He is my son and my wife (with whom i am seperated) will come here to teach at my school (willing to go through anything to spend time with my kid). The visa application document, where is this filed? Here in korea or at the embassy in New York City? We have all those documents and I signed his passport issuance.

Is she coming on an E2? If she is, then the application for the child's F3 will be made at the same time as her E2 at the consulate in the states.
