A country mouse I know is looking for some information from you city mice. His flight leaves Incheon Internat'l at 8:55AM Wednesday. That means he needs to get someplace a lot closer to the airport than where he currently lives.
To complicate matters, Tuesday is his birthday.
His original plan was to come in to Itaewon for some tasty ethnic food and go on his visa run later in the week. That plan got scotched today and the flight was moved up.
Query #1:
For a poor country mouse carrying a small bag with shorts, t-shirts and undies but plenty of empty space to fill with foreign goodies, where is a good ethnic restaurant within walking distance of the subway exit in Itaewon? (The country mouse will be too tired from the grueling journey from the country into the city to carry the bag very far. Think 400 meters, max.)
Query #2:
Where can the recently gorged on ethnic food country mouse find an airport bus (or whatever) that will take him to a decent, but not overly expensive motel kind of place near the airport? Would that perhaps be the Hamilton Hotel to catch the bus?
Any suggestions with VERY clear directions would be highly appreciated. |

He needs to leave Itaewon (opp Hamilton) around 6 am then, it takes an hour or so from there.
At 5:30 am in Itaewon, it depends what's open: maybe better to trough at the airport. |

The country mouse thinks you misunderstood.
He wants to come in for a good supper on Tuesday evening, catch a bus out to the area of the airport and sleep at a motel, then catch the visa-run bus to Guam on Wednesday morning. |

You get the bus from Inchon bus terminal, which is outside the subway aptly named "inchon bus terminal".
You stay in a love motel nearby, for about 40.000W.
You eat wherever you want the evening before that.
Are we clear?
How long have you been here??? |

Then why does he need us to hold hs hand, not only to get over the emotion of moving appartment, but to organise a simple bus ride???
Blistering barnacles, I've travelled the length of this country and back on my own without hardly speaking a word of gukmal. Yep: just sort everything out when you get there. Its not hard to read a bus schedule, recognise a reataurant to eat at, and ask for a room at what is obviously a love motel. I travelled from John O'groats to lands end unnacompanied and without a phone when I was 11 years old for pitys sake. And flew from South Africa to London and back several times on my own at age 13.
Need any more help?

You're right Junior.
Dear Dave. Please close down your site now. It has fulfilled it's purpose.
Thank you. |

The airport bus starts running at approx. 5:30am and they're super-efficient. I returned to Garak Market on a Sunday p.m. recently and the ride was all of 80 minutes. Excellent frequency too, every 15-20 minutes and there are individual buses running to and from various locations in Seoul...
If you'd like some bus information, then simply google 'congnamul bus english' and you should find a great utility from which you can use to plan the journey, or any bus journey in Seoul for that matter...
Can't really help on the ethnic food front however... I do hear there is an excellent Indian restaurant near the subway station but I've never sought out Indian food here... |

#1- Walk up the hill towards the Mosque and you'll see a lot of great ethnic places right under it.
#2- The airport shuttle runs through Iteawon ever 20 odd minutes. |
