Just wondering...is there a specific order to be followed with visa/ARC? Does it matter which one you get first? Do you need a visa to get the ARC? Thanks

Without a visa, you cannot get into the country, without being in the country, you cannot get an ARC.

So to answer your question: yes, you need a visa before you can get an ARC, which is for residence.

You get your visa before you get to Korea.

Your ARC is your Alien Registration Card - your Korean ID card during your residence here. You need to be a resident to get a residence card.
