I wonder do you think that Israel would really like there to be a ceasefire?

In Seoul 2003 = an upgraded version of Igothisguitar.

Same ideas , same motives , same agenda.

really? You have personal friends and reliable witnesses on the ground in Lebanon who called you with their perfectly neutral objective opinion- photographic evidence of a nice round figure of 400 Israeli soldiers killed. Wow! Call CNN now.

Why would it not? it hardly has appeared as a zionist conspiracy so far. Its entire focuss has been on the evil Israelis killing innocent bystanders.

the Jews who were surrounded and let go by the Hezballah who could have massacred the whole lot

hexbollah let 100s of Israeli soldiers go?Haha. Why is it then that they refuse to let even two go, when doing so would have halted the entire invasion???

Hard to say whether In_Seoul is rooting for Hezbollah, so much as, like many others here, he has adopted and made his own various elements of bin Laden, Ahmadinejad, the Syrian govt, Nasrallah, and even Chavez's worldview -- especially regarding the United States and Israel.

Difficult to exchange views with him and those like him because they will accept nothing less than full admission of extremely egregious wrongdoing on the part of Washington and Tel Aviv on [insert any topic in world affairs here, particularly where something has gone wrong].

It is a worldview dominated by U.S.-centrism and it wholly downplays or ignores local conditions and actors.

In_Seoul and those like him write about the U.S. and Israel much like Tacitus writes about Tiberius -- that is, with much bitterness and no small amount of sneering.

So, in response to the question you pose, I am not sure whether In_Seoul and the others are necessarily for Hezbollah and its masters. But it is pretty clear that they are not friendly to the U.S. or Israel and indeed they stand against them as enemies (inasmuch as you can stand against something on an internet chatboard, in any case).

Uhh, no. I would have to say there is a qualitative difference between someone who says "I really don't like Israel because of their imperialistic foreign policy" and someone who says "I really don't like Israel because of their Templar-Masonic plans to slip LSD into the Palestinians' drinking water in accordance with the mind-control plot formulated at the Tavistock Institute under the supervision of Skull And Bones doctors as revealed to David Icke in Lyndon LaRouche's hot tub".

I mean, I really do see a difference between the two statements.

And yes, Joo. I realize they both dislike US foreign policy. But the point is, the stigma that attaches to IGTG, and which you are trying to lay on In_Seoul, is a result of his conspiratorial worldview, not of his anti-Americanism. But since In_Seoul is nowhere near being the kind of conspiracy theorist that IGTG is, you really should pick a different type of leftist to compare him to.

He is the same as Igothisguitar. he makes jokes about Jews kicked out of arab lands. He says Israel is like the Nazis. and not just in a few ways. He is just like Ersatz Professor.

In Seoul 2003 wants- no demands Israel destroyed.

The sources are different but the motives are the same.

By the way ask In Seoul 2003 if he has made extensive use of a site called Codah.

Ask him if he went by the name "the wall behind you"

I have it on good word that the Zionists who recently attacked Lebanon got their asses handed to them. The Western media of course isn't saying as much but we are talking about in excess of 400 military deaths and scores of tanks destroyed. In one area where the Western media was reporting an Israeli onslaught against the Hezballah, it was in fact the Jews who were surrounded and let go by the Hezballah who could have massacred the whole lot had some Lebanese not been concerned that such a slaughter would have resulted in an even greater Israeli aerial bombardment on Beirut.

In one photo I recently saw on the news, a group of Israeli soldiers were carrying back with them a Hezballah flag. Big deal. Anyone even remotely familiar with Lebanon knows that those flags are a dime a dozen.

The Hezballah is now more powerful than they have ever been.

"The" hizballah?

I'll back up On the Other Hand's interpretation, above. I wholly disagree with and reject In_Seoul's politics and worldview. I think he might even hold antisemitic views.

But Igotthisguitar lacks his sophistication, and at least In_Seoul is not consumed by conspiracy theories. Neither is he as mentally unabalanced as posters like BLT Lawyer or Ddeubel -- even though they all collect themselves around similar anti-Israel, anti-Zionism, anti-U.S., and U.S.-centric opinions when it comes to world affairs.

Mais oui monsieur!

And, like you, I'm waiting to hear from in_seoul_2003 about the Rastarafarian-Jewish connection (I expect it'll involve kabbala and water bongs).
Maybe Joo is right! in_seoul_2003 and IGTG may be closer in spirit than most of us realize...

Gopher, you need more fibre in your diet and to get out into the sun "light of day". What you can't stand is not balanced arguement. What you can't stand is for someone to tell you that there is something other to eat than the bacon and eggs you feast upon everyday.

I'm nowhere anti-American and have already addressed that arguement a million times. If I appear unbalanced to you, maybe you should put down the bottle of soju. Or take up yoga.

I offer you the words (mere words but alas they are all I have -- please find the author, Gopher, you hobo....) of one who knows of fascism, one of my fav. thinkers, Gyorgy Faludy.

"I do not know what creates civilization but I suspect strongly that what keeps it in existence is nothing more than an unrelenting preference for the agreeable on the part of the few, in the face of wide-spread opposition."

I offer civility -- your opinions though couched in the rhetoric of "excuse me, it was bad but necessary...." are but arguements for more killing, more chess piece moving and more worchestershire sauce for the meat eaters...

Wipe your chin!
