I have a 1-year old PowerBook and never had any problems using the internet. I now have Nespot service where you connect only through hotspots. I know Nespot has two rates for different internet services related to internet download speeds, but I think you can get something as good or better for a cheaper monthly rate. I need internet in my room but don't really know who to go with. I had free LAN at my last job but I have to pay for internet service this time.
I saw an ad that has several IPs that charge anywhere from 20,650W to 24, 950W. I don't know the connection speeds but what I'm really looking for is reliability and smooth speed with a few interruptions. I have cable TV for my apartment already provided for by the school I'm working for, and I might subscribe to their internet services as well. But I don't know how reliable and good it is. I'd like to know your favorites and why, and how much do you pay? The ones I saw on an ad and that I'm considering--from more expensive to cheapest--are Hanarotelecom + Thrunet, Powercomm, and KT Megapass (with free LAN card). [/i] |

I have KT netopia now and love it, but it is unavailable unless you live in a building wired for it.. anyway, if I didnt have this, I would go for hanaro.. they were faster (for me) than KT megapass. |

I use megapass and I've had to use the tech support line a few times and the service is excellent. Excellent english, they send out a truck to fix your problem THAT DAY. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I would have gotten Powercomm but it's unavailable in my area. I got KT's cheaper service for 31,000 won and I'm happy with it. It's just as good as the LAN that I had at the university housing I used to live in. I'm interested in KT's netopia though because I live in an apartment but I'm satisfied with Megapass. |

I hate KT
I could only use them because of the housing we lived in, so the hagwon said.
They regularly screwed up my bill, sending it too late then charging me for not paying it. Yes they send people out quickly but they were generally useless, I couldn't access certain sites, like dave's and other foreign Korea related websites. They ended up saying "Oh it's the settings on your computer, sorry we can't do anything." What it turned out to be was too many KT customers were spamming the servers of the sites I viewed, so I was denied access.
Switched companies, never looked back. I share a connection with my sister inlaw through Dacom. |

KT netopia rocks.. my officetel is close to a KT building and supposely wired by KT. I connect without a modem.. The line is 100/100.
On a heavily seeded torrent I can hit 8MB/s alot of the time. |
