Not impressed.
Waving your hands around like that looks much more hassle than using a mouse. Notice how he knocks stuff over because his arms are all over the desk!!
No way. I can't see what's cool about a touch-screen monitor. |

Um, what of importance did he knock over?
Actually, some of the ideas have already been copied by Apple so I think this innovation is important.
It'll be a matter of time before GUI adhere to touchscreen (which of course has already started on PDAs and tablet PCs). |

I see nothing easier in using a touchscreen than using a mouse. If you want to speak of economy of movement, the mouse is about as minimal as you can get.
Touchscreens are good for PDAs because there is no other practical method of input. Same with tablet PCs...the idea is that they are small; a keyboard wouldn't be in sync with that idea. |

Another thing about a touchscreen, though I can't download the clip at school would be body position. Body position is bad enough, but when I just pretend my screen is a touch screen, it doesn't go so well. Also, being closer might not be good for your eyes, though that is still debatable. |

If the screen would lay flat on the desk it would no longer be a problem.
If this touch screen ever kicks of, it will be nothing more then an interactive version of a pieec of paper.
The current tech is too clumsy. |

Fun - yes....
Practical - no (in the first one, there were several times the guy had to try to 'click' repeatedly until he got it)
Would be amusing for at least 5 - 10 minutes. But I'd be back to using a mouse after my initial 'playtime'. |

That's why I said that future GUIs should be designed to cater touchscreen behaviour. |

My laptop has a touchscreen and it's fine there, but I'd never have that on my desktop. |
