When I see old films of them performing live, or read stories about those tours, I can't believe that anybody could hear them above the screaming with those dinky little amps of the 60s. Perhaps that's a reason why people weren't coming anymore and why the Beatles themselves were beginning to dislike performing in huge shows; they didn't feel that the music was being heard.
Still, it's a sad thing the Beatles didn't do more small shows or TV appearances after then. I suppose a lot of their music was becoming too studio-based to reproduce.
