When I leave the US and no longer have direct deposit Bank Of America wants to charge me a monthly fee.
Any suggestions on a good US bank to use for paying bill while in Korea.
I want my online banking to be compatible with firefox.

| See if you can find a credit union that you can join. They generally have lower fees in terms of their accounts. My credit union doesn't charge me a monthly fee for having the account. I am able to transfer money from Korea and then check online. They even have a program where my statements are online as well so I don't recieve any mail from them at my mailing address in the US. |

Credit unions vary. I joined one that had no atm and no online banking. When I needed a counter check to buy my house they said they couldn't do that. It just didn't work for me.
I just opened an account with the little bank my mother uses. It's totally free and because I put her name on it I get interest for her being over 50.
The funny part is recently filled my subaru legacy, my mazda pickup and my friend's jeep cherokee each completely full of tools and I still have more tools to get out of my house. What does the bank give me for opening the account? A toolkit.
