| Hi, is their anybody out there who can give me a bit of the low down on Suncheon? I have been offered a job there and have no idea what this city is like. Is it very quite? Is their much to do, I am just worried about ending up in some backwater on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Jon |

It is in the deep south of the country...population of about 300 000. It is a semi-major regioanl city in jeollado but certainly not the big smole.
I understand the foreigner community is quite tight-knit and good but it is a bit of a backwater yes |

I lived in Suncheon for 6 years. It is a bit of a backwater but quite a nice place to live and work. Very little pollution, friendly people, and great food.
Currently, I'm living in Daejeon and, frankly speaking, I miss Suncheon. Though it is a backwater there is alot to do if you openminded and enjoy places off the beaten track.
I can't comment on the foreign community as I tended to avoid it as much as possible during my stay. |
