Seriously, what are some of the mothers thinking? One girl came into class and I asked who the new boy was? Luckily it was quiet, so she didn't hear. She is one of my favourite students too, but the clothes she was wearing and her new hairstyle were just too much.

Also, the boys can sometimes come in with the weirdest hairstyles. I have never laughed or made the "Oh my God" look, but came damn close a couple of times.

At least at elementary school they have more options than straight, black, and up to 20cm.

I think there is one standard haircut for men over 25. One standard haircut for the women over 50 too. Kids can let loose a little.

I've got a seven year old kindy kid, boy, with a perm and highlights. It looks a bit ridiculous to be honest.

Seen quite a few girls get their hair cut really short, one has her head shaved and really looks like a boy, only for the fact that she wears a dress most days it would be easy to mistake her for a boy.

Man I used to have a student who I actually thought was a boy for about 3 or 4 days. That was weird.

I had a student come in with his fresh new middle school cut last night. It was realllly hard not to laugh. I mean the laughter was right there, making my cheeks quiver. It was just a normal haircut, except somehow in the top middle, a little toward the back, there were two large pieces that rose up about a centimer each, then went straight out to the side in opposite directions. It looks like two helicopter propelers, or a beanie hat.

Just refer to the artist's rendering below:

One of my boys looks like he has had a wedge shaved into the top of his head.
