I am dying to see Saw 3 but don't have internet at my apt. yet. When will it start appearing at the movies or even the stands on the street to buy?
Also for lost season three, where can I download the new episodes for free?
I am hoping to get connected to the net by the end of the month... |

Earlier than the theaters, certainly within a day or two of their release.
I've several times gotten bootleg copies on DVDs on the streets of Itaewon.
I recall when the last Star Wars episode came out I got it on the first Friday afternoon (I think it world premiered on thursday morning just after midnight).
A few weekends ago I saw that new World Trade Centre Nicolas Cage flick being peddled on the streets for five bucks (5000 won). |

One thing to keep in mind is that the DVDs they sell on the street of movies that are "now playing" are generally very poor quality versions. Usually, someone with a camcorder takes a video of the film and then burns it to a DVD disk. They generally have very poor sound and/or video quality. They are, of course, very cheap.
If you don't mind waiting a bit, you can get a high-quality copy of a DVD after, of course, the movie has been released on DVD.
You can download tv shows from places like tvtorrents.com or torrentspy.com. Most currently airing tv programs are available for download a few hours after they are televised. (These are generally very good quality, fyi.)
Finally, movies here generally show up in theaters later than in the U.S. How much later is entirely dependent on the movie. For violent/gory movies like Saw 3, you can expect a good long wait. For blockbusters, the opening date may be the same or just a bit later. It all depends. If you're curious, check the individual movie's website for the international release date. |

Saw and Saw 2 have been everywhere in this country, popular among Koreans.
So expect Saw 3 to be available before long. |

| Download Lost using Bit Comet. Or you can watch it live on TVU player if you don't work in the mornings. |

| New episodes are usually available within 24 hours on most P2P networks. Bearshare, Ares, etc. |

Thurnndarr's on the mark in terms of his comments. Also keep in mind when the movies do come here, they are general here a week or two and then gone, so you have to be on your toes to catch them in the theather.

Yeah, I picked up that on DVD in Itaewon a couple of weeks ago. Decent film, great acting, though seems more original than it really is when you think about it. |

September is when it premiered in nearby Jinju city and September was when I bought the DVD version. Geez. That's new enough. |
