I do sense that Koreans have a slightly smug attitude. As if they were the most superior beings that have rigged the perfect system for using up and controlling foreigners. "Deny them tenure, control their visas, keep them at arms length" etc etc.

Its not actually clever. I don't think they realise foreigners just percieve it as ethnocentric xenophobia, and we all know what they're basically up to.

I think you're being a little harsh there Junior. And what you say doesn't really make sense (to me anyway). Do you really think that all Koreans are slightly smug about having a system for controlling foreigners?

Could you also please elaborate on what you believe they are basically up to?
