I am enexperienced public school teacher and now I am teaching EFL.
I have a lot of ideas for reading, writing, and vocabulary work, but I am finding it difficult to think of speaking activities. Some students are extremely shy but they have a wide vocabulary due to theur high level. And the lower levels want to talk but they don;t quite have the grammar.
Do you know of any good websites with ideas, or any of your own ideas?
Thanks!

www.bogglesworldesl.com for the lower levels. There's another site with conversation questions for discussion with the higher levels. I don't know the url but googling 'conversation questions' will bring you to it.
Good luck. Smile

I've just started using Jazz English with my higher level high schoolers. It is going great so far.

It really gets them talking.

Good luck Smile

I recently picked up a copy of Jazz English and I'm wondering how you use it. It has a lot of dialogues between Britney and Brad, but the dialogues are long and sort of wordy. What kinds of activities do you have them do with these, other than practicing the dialogues themselves?

The section called "Almost Free Talking" seems too difficult for students to answer in class. Do you assign this as homework or have them answer orally in class? Also, do you use small groups with the "Free Talking Frenzy" section?
