|
|
I just got an email from my friend in Afghanistan and he just told me he finished his classes with the University of Maryland and now has thoughts about going to Korea (he loved all the tales about drinking, partying and other lavish tales of sin).
He is in the guard and wants to switch to the Army reserves. He told me he contacted the AR laison in YongSan and they said all he had to do was to put himself on standby status (IRR for Army/ reserves and IGR for national guards) and once he gets there, they will pull him out of that status and put him in a unit over there.
Are there any reservists on the board that can give him some advice and with the current news of the redux of troops, will it affect the reserve force over there? |

AFN is constantly running "ads" to recruit guys back into the reserves while they are here. Should be no problem...
BUT.. having said that, it will complicate his job here if he is trying to come and be an E2 English teacher. |

| 7 years ago a buddy of mine was teaching at a hagwon and then joined the reserves so he could have access to the px. He did that for a few years before getting recruited by the CIA. |
