Just curious as to what is considered illegal teaching?
Oour Visas are for one particular hagwon.
And where can I find information about this?
Thanks for any information you might have. |

Doing privates(teaching at a student's home for a fee) is illegal. That includes teaching at another hogwon without permission from your hogwon and Immigration. |

What about teaching for free? I teach one private to a group of really cool people. They help me with korean for an hour in return, no money exchanged. |

Teaching anywhere that is NOT authorized by immigration (and marked on your ARC) is illegal. Your hakwon is actually written on the face of your ARC (at the bottom on the front).
If you want to teach at a location that is different from the one that is marked on the face of your ARC you MUST apply at your local immigration office for "Permission to Change or Add Working Places"
http://www.immigration.go.kr/HP/IMM80/imm_04/imm_0404/sm8.jsp
or http://www.moj.go.kr/HP/ENG/eng_03/eng_306080.jsp and scroll down to annex 14. |

Technically, that is a "CULTURAL EXCHANGE" and not private teaching. It sort of flies just under the radar but if push comes to shove and someone claims that they paid someone something for it.. YOU get busted. Proof of the claim is NOT required to put your azz in a sling. |
