So guys, whats it like to live in Olympic Park area?
Nice area? Expensive? I was also wondering how long it takes by subway from downtown seoul - Sinchon area to O. Park?
Any info would be brilliant thanks! |

I just got here a week ago..well, to Seoul, I mean. I am right across the street from Olympic Park and it seems alright. We bought our house, which was a pretty penny, but everything else seems pretty standard for Korea.
Chon-ho dong has lots of cool little stores...kind of old-style Korea. Seong-nae dong is newer with wider roads, lots of restaurants, shopping, etc..
As I said, this is my first time living in Seoul in over 10 years here. Seems like Seoul...busy, bad air, water, traffic, noise... |

The Olympic Park area is nice. You are close to Jamsil and Lotte World. (15 minutes) and Gangnam (30 minutes). If you want to go to Sinchon it will probably take about 50 minutes. The area is quiet and not super expensive. There is an E-mart and Hyundai Department store in Cheonho and some decent shopping in the area. If you have any other specific questions, PM me. |

It's also close to jamsil which is really on the up and up these days. There's a kyobo book store there and place that does pretty good coffee and paninis.
I love walking around olympic park...
Think it's a great little area! |
