The worlds climate is destabilising at a far higher rate than previously thought.

'Time bomb' raises global warming risk
Thu, September 7, 2006

As the Earth warms, greenhouse gases once stuck in the long-frozen soil are bubbling into the atmosphere in much larger amounts than previously anticipated, according to a study in today's issue of the journal Nature.

My undestanding is that the next ice age is in fact overdue by about 100 years.

All the crap that was sent into the atmosphere by industry altered the cooling cycle.

We could shut down industry globally and it will still happen.

Yes the globe will get hot, then comes the next ice age.

We should just all watch our TV's and be good droins like the conservatives want us to be. Why can we all just believe that global warming is a liberal lie?

There is conflicting evidence on this. The recovery of the Antarctica ice core, the oldest- shows that the earths climate is set at "fair" for the next 15000 years.

I'm not sure we have passed the point of no return yet, although it looks likely.

Of course nobody know what will happen, but Global warming could finish us long before we get rescued by the next ice age.

Too much evidence for that. Maybe you will only believe it when it actually affects you personally?
