what kind of supplies? What kind of food?

A lot of that stuff can be picked up from E-Mart or your local grocery store. My wife and I make our own tortilla's. We buy hot sauce from the states. Everything else...E-mart.

It's easy to make your own flour burrito bread. The Indian/foreign grocery store in Itaewon (near What the Book and Starbutts... not a typo) sells taco powder. Salsa is widely available. Just be careful how you say it. If you don't get the A's properly, you're saying the Korean word for diarrhea. Taco shells are a little harder. Carrefour usually sells taco shells (actually a whole taco kit) in the foreign food section.

Costco usually carries the all-in-one Old El Paso (or is it Ortega?) kits, as well as flour tortillas. Ground beef and read-made lettuce packs are usually cheaper there as well.

Spot on. I usually just spend the 6500 won for the taco kit (you get 10) and use ground pork because beef is too expensive. Carrefour also sells avocados that are like two for 3500 won. Mexican rice and fresh salsa are also easy enough to make. The store MMT mentioned above also has fresh cilantro/coriander as well.

Costco has taco sets with hard shells, mix & some sauce. They also stock soft flour tortillas & sour cream & have the best price on ground beef.

www.yoricome.com sometimes stocks the mix packets. They also have soft flour and sometimes corn tortillas in various sizes and sometimes have sour cream (more expensive than Costco, but better IMO).

Guacamole--Costco has it. Larger supermarkets like HomePlus carry avacados & lime juice, & it's pretty easy to make some decent quacamole on your own. (yoricome.com also has guacamole, but they it from Costco and re-sell it for double)

Meat--If you want beef and you're going to Costco anyway, get it there. I usually just buy chicken or ground pork at HomePlus.

Veggies--anywhere.

I miss Mexican food so much. I haven't been back to Cali in almost 2 years. I would pay a lot for some of the old taco truck fixins. Anyone know where to get pinto beans or corn tortilla mix. I have flan, but it just isn't the same without some quality Mexican food. There are some restaurants in Seoul, Costco sells enchiladas, but nothing compares to mi tia's homemade enchiladas. By the way, has anyone seen Demolition Man on Korean TV? Why do they beep in Pizza Hut, when they people Taco Bell?

Anybody remember the taco stand that would pop up late at nigh in Itaewon? They made their weird tacos that didn't taste anything like mexican food but tasted good! Are they still around?

You can buy flour tortillas and sour cream at Hannam Supermarket near Itaewon. There is another small store inside the same building on the same floor that sometimes has those taco kits, seasoning, and guacamole. I used to make chicken fajitas once a week.

To get to Hannam Supermarket from Itaewon, walk out the gates of Itaewon on the side that has Starbuck's, the opposite end from McDonalds and Yongsan. Walk past Hanganjin Subway Station and look to the right. You will see a Volvo building in the distance, and the supermarket is in that building. You have to walk on down the street around the circular sidewalk and then go up and over the bridge to cross the street. There is also a bus stop near there.

TGI Fridays has the best Mexican food I ever ate in Korea except for my own fajitas.

Yangpyeong... get off at Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station exit 2 or 3. Walk up the street a short distance to the gu Office building & turn left on that small street. Walk for about 5 minutes & you'll run right into it.
