Ha-ha! I just wrote that title to get your attention.

Before I sign a contract, I need to know this: what's the best grade bracket to teach? Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, or High School? Could you throw me some pros and cons?

I know, I know. You'll say, "Well, what age group do you like?"

Although I'm funny, two friends said that little kids probably won't get my sense of humor. I've also noticed that sometimes little kids and babies look at me and cry. Are they freaked out because I'm bald, or do they sense my evil?

For the most part, as long as I'm teaching a small class (fewer than 12), I'm up for anything.

If you're thinking of going into a public school, I think you'll find it very difficult to find one with classes with fewer than 12 students. The majority of public schools, from my observations, tend to have between 30-45 students.

Hagwons class sizes would meet your requirements. Is this where you are thinking of taking a job?

I love teaching high school but as mentioned above, you'll have trouble finding classes so small. Most hogwans that have classes of less than 12 teach mostly elementary students.

You may also wish to think about what times you'd like to work. Most public school jobs are 9-5 whereas most hogwan jobs are afternoons and evenings.

I make jokes that MOST people can't get.
But I also make jokes which kids can get.
You might be the same way.

Same here.
And it was the same way 25 years ago, when I was in South America.
It might be because I'm bald, it might be because I have a beard, or it might just be because I'm a wegukin.
On the other hand, I get my share of pointed fingers, giggles, and 헬로 하우 아르 유's.

If anyone gives you more than 12 little kids in a class, put their name on the blacklist.

Kindy- can be hell, can be great. Depends on the kids and how supportive your school is. Always at a hogwan. Usually 10-1 or something
Elem. - at hogwan, usually 2-8. At public 9-5. Sometimes combined with Kindy contracts. A little easier than Kindy, but still depends on how good yoru school is
MS- at hogwan, probably combined with elementary classes. Still 2-8 pr 3-9 or something. These kids are boring as hell. MS sucks the fun out of the elementary school kids. Its sad to see the change when you watch your sixth graders go to MS
HS- same hours as MS. Never taught them, so can't tell you how it is.

Personally, I think Elem is the best, with a little MS or Kindy to keep it interestig. But like I said, Kindy can be hell on earth if your school doesn't havea good discipline system or Korean assistant for you. I've taught at two different schools and one was horrible and one was great. Its a crap shoot with kindy.
