I dunno if this video's been posted here yet but it's already on ebaumsworld.

http://www.doubleviking.com/2/korean-girl-has-seizure-onstage-1004-p.html

http://media.paran.com/snews/newsview2.php?dirnews=1699089&year=2006&dir=834&rtlog=MV&key=hit&link=newshitlist.php

So this is that girl group 씨야 with the 2 hot girls who can't sing and the 1 kinda average girl who sings well. None of them have any medical training however, so when a backup dancer has a seizure onstage they just continued on with the show. One girl even considerately steps past the fallen dancer's flailing limbs to make sure she has enough room to do her own coreographed dance bits. The leader of the group (the prettiest one, not the good singer) apologized about it.

oh, and the dancer is apparently ok.

Hey, dancing is important! That's nuts that they didn't stop their precious lip-synch routine.

Laughing

Oh man, that was the most ridiculous thing ever! Nothing subtle about that at all -- just a totally absurd contrast between those chauchy beyotches sticking to their routine while the afflicted is rolling around on the floor unassisted, dying for all anyone could tell... sure exposed the clockwork for what it is.

When someone is as talented as they are, the show must go on

That makes me sick to watch - I have a family member with a seizure disorder, and the fact that the situation was so blatently ignored, and then they dragged her off before even checking to see if she was okay is unbelievable.

Waiting for Homer..."But you don't understand their culture" Rolling Eyes

This is only news because it happened on camera. How many times have you seen traffic accident victims (with possible spinal injuries) dragged off to the side of the road so traffic can continue? I have seen it several times here.

Laughing Best post yet!

Okay, I've stopped giggling. Crass indeed. It was awful to see (and I don't have any friends or family with whatever sort of illness she has). The poor girl. Hated how they all just grapped a limb & whisked her offstage toward the end. You could tell the audience had long since stopped paying attention to the music or the dancing.

That is terrible....

But the thing is, the girls can't stop because if they do, they will be caught lip synching and oh....the loss of face of it all..

I'm going through a hate-on for Korea these days (it comes and goes in cycles...), and this sums up what is truly wrong with Korea and Koreans. Unbelievable and shameful!

Would it be in bad taste to say that the seizure was at least more in time with the music than the dancers were?
