Hello fellow expats,

I just arrived in Seongnam City, South Korea not to long ago and I am in search of two things.

1) Does anybody know where and how I can get cheap internet without an ARC in Seongnam City (I phoned a few providers in Seoul, but they don't service Seongnam)?

2) Does anybody live in or near Seongnam City that wants to chill during the week, play some sports, or go to bars/clubs. The subway station closest to my apartment is Dandeogeori on the pink line, #8.

Kam sa ham ni da.
Eyal.

For your internet you have 2 choices. Get your boss to put it in their name or get your ARC. Getting your ARC is NOT that difficult. You just need your passport, 2 passport type photos ( the photo machine types from the subway stations are OK) and a copy of your bosses business registration.

If you are NOT working kindy (morning shift), drop into either the Seoul immi office early (so you are in and out fast) or immigration comes to Seongnam city hall 2 times per month and you can go there. Cost is 10,000 won.

You can also have it done for you by a friend or co-worker but you have to download and fill in the application form for them. Alternativly, get your boss to take you there and get it done.
