Anyone tried it yet?

Any recommendations for the best sound or experience? Is there a chain store to look out for, in terms of quality and service?

Was thinking of trying many a time, but somehow some of the stairs or entrances look kind of cheesy ... but have not walked into any yet to confirm.

I love it. The wife and I go and it's like we have our own private theater. We order some domino's and live it up!

Finding a good one may be hard. We looked around until we found one that was nice and clean.

Just make sure they wipe down the sofas before you go in there.

It's a popular alternative for younger kids who either can't get rooms at a love motel or can't afford them.

Lord knows I've had my fair share of fun in those places...with consenting women in my own age group, of course.

DVD rooms are fun.

The quality does vary though.

Ahh DVD rooms....

Back when I was a newbie my first "experience" was in one of those. Right away I knew I was going to admire the locals.

Urgh... <shiver>.... I thought those rooms were not that private ie. with windows and see-thru doors that can't be locked from inside.

Any clean good ones to mention?

hehe. it's funny how bad the quality can be, like they don't even expect you to watch the movie. i guess it's korea's equivalent of reading Playboy for the articles.

I was quite a DVD bang addict, and they do vary wildly in quality. Im not aware of any chains, you just need to check a few out. There are some with great big comfy leather couch type seats, big screens with vary high rez, and great sound. And there are some stinkers too.

You kind of just have to walk around your chosen neighbourhood and look for a few. You can usually tell what the rooms will be like by the atmosphere in the front lobby.

I do believe they have recently required windows etc because people were getting it on.

Yeah they passed a law requiring them all to have windows to stop young tackers from being immoral...

As soon as they put in windows though, the DVD-bang operators put in curtains on the inside so you can still maintain your privacy. Real effective moralizing law that one.

Well thats a tough one as I did not tend to look at and remember the names. But ok, my absolute fav was in Kyung Hee, out the front side of the Uni there.
You see the donut shop on one corner, icecream shop on the other corner, go down that alley and go left at first turn. You should see it. Dangerous combo with such a primo DVD bang, and good donuts and icecream right there too. I put on a lot of weight when I worked there...
