- (maybe...) to view transcendental art:

...Pending review of my "Nectarean Slambamscamarama" thread (which has undergone a couple name-changes ...) the thread has been locked by mods...

Evidently some (or more-than-one...) poster(s) complained about my pushing the Krishna faith and culture too much, and he/she/they allege(s) that in my zeal I broke the rules by submitting consecutive multi-posts without waiting for responses...

Like "Jongno guru" noted in one of his early posts on the thread, it was set up by me in such a way that it was more of an artistic collage or montage of images and free associations done in a blog-style . The thread topic was very broad - people were just invited to post whatever they wanted in response to my posting whatever I wanted (predictably heavy on Krishna culture and art - but also utilizing free association of images and ideas...)

I personally think that there are a lot of interesting pictures on that thread which I know have been appreciated by many posters - but, obviously, not by all... Likewise with my injecting some Krishna philosophy into the mix.

("Ya-ta boy", although not sharing my religious or philosophical beliefs, makes an interesting characterization of my attackers on page 3 of the thread...)

Unless I get a reprieve, the thread will soon be killed and/or banished to the back pages, never to be revived again (I consider it to be a living work of art...) Anyway, check it out for yourself before it's possibly lost:

While the art is certainly stunning, the message is not one that most people living in the 21st century want to hear. Given that the planet seems to be up to its eyeballs with the Islamofascist issue, perhaps it's just a matter of questionable timing.

I didn't want to hurt your feelings by flaming you in your thread. I agree mostly with Ya-Ta when he says that "selective reading/viewing" is a rare virtue. HOWEVER, it's hard to ignore a thread continuously bumped back to the top of a message board that was designed for discussion. <---doesn't have to be arguementative discussion either.

In 3 or more years of reading this board, I will say that your thread bothered me a great deal because, in your own words: Blog style

And that's where it should have gone, on your blog. It would be great to see you take all those great pictures and make a blog - throw down a link in your sig line and be done with it. It almost seems as though you're looking for detractors...looking for trouble by steering your thread back to the top of the board. Might as well make it a sticky, right?

I like what SATORI said:

From what I can gather reading through your various threads, I don't believe a single other poster shares any interest in your cultic obsession. For you to keep on and on pushing this rubbish onto an unreceptive public means you have profoundly underdeveloped social awareness. In other words, you are not aware of how much of an a-hole you come across as. Is it stimulating and satisfying for you to be talking into thin air? Are there not websites where people can gather and talk hari krishna to their hearst content? Or are you one of those weird people that prefers the company of those that dispise you?

Again, I have empathy for you and I feel horrible because I don't want to hurt your feelings. Sometimes people just get fed up after six months of slambampandarama.

I totally agree with you (and hence Satori too). I don't understand why anyone would do this on a discussion board when tons of sites offer free opportunities for blogs. I can only assume Rteacher likes the negative attention. Grotto will feed that soon, I think Wink
