Anybody know a place that sells posters? I think nothing would class up my apartment like a big Led Zeppelin poster.

There's a great shop between 아현역 and 이대역 on the 이대 (I think it's north) side of the street. It's much closer to 아현, so exit there and head on over. There's a scooter shop next to it, if that helps.

Tons of old prints on canvas and paper, and the shop owner is cool. I recently passed up on an Angus Young poster that has your name all over it.

For a second there, I though this was where to come for human trafficking.

It's not hard to find at all.

It's on the main drag (신촌로 maybe?). He usually has stacks of framed posters out in front of the store, and there's a small scooter shop right next to it.

Anyway, just go to Ahyeon Station (line #2 between City Hall and Sinchon) and take the exit that will get you walking towards Ewha Women's Uni, Yonsei, Sinchon Rotary, etc. As you walk in that direction, make sure you're on the right side of the street.

In a perfect world, you'd be walking West, on the North side of the street. However, since Korea's civil engineers used a plate of spaghetti as their inspiration for infrastructure, it's tough to tell which direction you'll actually be going.

Just go to some music stores and get some freebies. I have hundreds of posters I got for free over the years at various music stores including some FinKL, SES, AsOne, Chakra, and so on.

Your apartment? I thought you were shackin' up at the moment. Better skip the Led Zeppelin and go for the Hello Kitty.

NO!! No aging rockers! (what are you, in high school now?) And NO! No cartoon pussycats. (what are you, gay now?)

Buy from the name you trust -- me! The Guru! Cool

Just think how smug you'll feel, BillyB, when all your fancy friends come a'calling and see my... your BIG splashy, expertly mounted & framed hawt chick poster up on the walls! Make the place look like a Chinese restaurant, that's what!

Oh, and note the genuine Guru craftsmanship in that framing job there, too.

(he's not really living in sin, is he, Kermo? because if so, I'm charging a sin tax.)

On a related note, I am in the market for posters/pictures for my classroom. I finally have a classroom and don't have to wander the halls moving from class to class.

My walls are a dingy yellow. I did find a nice calendar with pictures of back-roads...farm buildings, trees, fields, snow...that kind of thing. But I'd like to be a little more creative, but don't have any idea of what's out there or where to look for it.

Any tips would be appreciated.

PS: Mr. Guru, sir: Those posters are dynamite. Are you really selling them? (And next time, pick up those shoes off the stairs before you take another shot.)

Thanks so much.

Yes, I am. If you or anyone else is interested, send me a PM and we'll see if there's something you like.

Shocked You made me look! Laughing Actually, there are no shoes. It's an odd reflection from the black surface between the stairs. Here's a close-up. Still looks rather strange.

I sit corrected on the ghost sneakers issue. I'm glad I was wrong. I had always thought of you as a classier kind of guy who would not leave a pair of shoes on the stairway when taking pictures. That has now been re-confirmed.

(I'm buttering you up before I send a PM inquiring about prices. Hope it works.)
